El Pie De Cielo

This is an ongoing project on a large ranch that is currently taking this from 1977 (original) very large home to current contemporary designs with some classic elements integrated with elements and finish picked out by the owners who have a great artistic style and taste.

Original repairs included raising the roof, fixing and retrofitting the site built trusses replacing all of roof tiles, install of new copper gutters. We pulled all of the flooring / tiles at pool and replaced it with border tiles and colored / polished concrete – entry – dining room – kitchen areas. All stairs/skirts now have custom Mahogany finishes along with a dual Mahogany entry door. Storefront powder coated aluminum operable glass is replacing the wood framed units in the clear story areas. La Cantina entry doors/panels replaced the French Doors at pool entrys. All new custom cabinets and hand carved counter tops now cover the massive banks of built ins. A functional bar with wine refrigerators in the lounge area make the trip to the pool or hot tub a quick one.

An on demand gas hot water system for the living areas replaced the old inefficient one. Solar was installed along with state of the art ( 2) dehumidifiers @ pool area and a solar heat pump @ pump house to heat up the pool- tub.Future plans include a kitchen remodel , addition along with the replacement of the rest of existing windows on the east wing of house and a Spanish color coat stucco exterior


Turkey Cove

This vacation home was in need of a new deck and ext. paint. A caisson post design was installed along with a new slab @ storage area/ retaining wall. The heavy timber frame was primed and painted to match body after it was installed. Current earthquake and lateral bracing was installed as well. Due to the access and height of back area a crane was used for setting the beams on framing. The Trex decking was complimented with a Redwood railing to take advantage of the fantastic lake views and expansive extension of lounge areas.a privacy lattice was installed @ road side as well. A new body and trim color was applied to update the outside of home.The 1st level is framed out for future 2nd deck area /stairs as well.


Empire Grade Remodel

This home started out as replacing 2 decks, on a 1970’s home framed mostly out of redwood but time and the elements along with deferred maintenance had caught up to it. We removed and upgraded all glazing to low e windows, a new 92%  hvac system  with a new propane lines installed, replacing the existing plumbing, electrical upgrades. The existing  It was tough to remove all of the board and battens siding in the winter on this 3 level home but by changing the outside with new fascia and a color coated stucco dramatically improved the appearance. converting an upper open air loft to a bedroom with custom shower that has a bay view! All new paint and flooring along with all new doors. Trex decks and railings open up to views of all of Monterey Bay to the Big Sur lighthouse!! Future plans call for an add on and removing the existing 2 garages and building new ones


Vandenberg

This is a 1960’s home which was mostly original except new windows, sink, carpet. We started by taking out the walls from living room to the kitchen to open it up. Remove the washer /dryer and relocate it to the garage. All new texture on walls with new doors/trim. A custom larger bath with shower. All new Maple cabinets through out home with Silestone in the kitchen and Granite in the baths. New Appliances with Kohler sinks and keeping the original cast bath that was in amazingly good shape. Upgraded wiring with new water lines inside. Adding lights and safety monitors as well. We covered up the old brick fireplace with a more robust rock design. All new paint inside/out. The outside got all new patio/sidewalks and a galvanized panel fence set between 4×6 posts with a redwood frame, this is a 40 durable 40 year fence. The outside may look similar to some of the homes in the area but the neighbors were amazed at how it changed inside!


Mustard Creek

This home had the existing poorly performing heat pump hvac system removed from flat roof. An engineered truss roof and walls was installed. New eco friendly insulation , plumbing , new heater and a/c unit. a new wood stove/chimney and durable metal roof installed. Stucco was added and patched to match with a new exterior paint. A new carport was added for parking. The result is a much improved look with with reduced energy use.


Schneider Construction Site in Bradley, CA

The construction at the Schneider site included both interior and exterior work. This home was partially completed when we were hired as a subcontractor to help complete it.  Our team  completed exterior retrofitting, built new framing, and installed Trex Decking/stairs with a  custom railing. Interior modifications included the construction of a new stairwell, retrofitting for an elevator, as well as a variety of finish work such as hanging doors, and installing baseboards & trim.
